Chinese opera is a classical performance art in both moderm and acient face-make-up is very critical, hence the major color of face-make-up. | ----Iris Chinese opera is a classical performance art in both modern and ancient China. It contains several essential elements, for example the make -up of the face which we call ‘lian pu’, the elegant hand-made dress which always pierces with phoenix or Chinese dragon (both phoenix and Chinese dragon are considered to be saint animal in ancient China, people believe that they would give people happy life), special high-heel shoes which are worn by both women and men, and so on. I will introduce the essential factor in Chinese opera in the following paragraph. 1. Face make-up (lian pu) ;”lian pu” is painted with several kinds of color worn by most actors in Chinese opera. In Chinese opera, the face-make-up is very critical; hence the major color of face-make-up always suggests some basic information about the person. (For instance, their personality, the character of the people and even their fate.) “Lian pu” is loved by a lot of people. Eventually, only the face-make-up turns up as a prevailing art all around the world. The color of “lian pu” means a lot of information about the people. 1. Red covers most of someone’s face in Chinese opera which means the person is faithful, brave and heroic. 2. Paint someone `s face majority by black suggests that the guy is frank, brave and very brilliant. 3. Purple is the most important color of someone’s face in Chinese opera which means that guy is a straightforward officer, he never flatters his boss. He just does what he considers to be right. 4. When yellow plays the most important role in someone’s face it is a hint that the one is intrepid but somewhat bad-tempered. 5. Green is the main actor of someone’s face that suggests that one is brave but precipitant. 6. When you see someone in Chinese opera with blue face that means the guy has strong-will and at the same time is very crafty. 2.
