This is, of course, a stance an insider can take today – after nearly 30 months of 3GPP’s creation and the smooth and successful running of this project. Afterwards the 3GPP will be described in a rather general manner highlighting how it works who the stakeholders are and dealing with the results achieved so far. The section is rounded up with the relationship towards the International Telecommunication Union ITU and other initiatives as well as a few concluding remarks.
