Diabetes Mellitus is a group of metabolic disorder in which there is increase in blood glucose over a prolonged period. Out of the complications, Diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) is a major medical, social, and economic problems and is the leading cause of hospitalization for patients with diabetes. Escherichia coli, Proteus spp., Pseudomonas spp., Staphylococcus aureus and Enterococcus spp., are reported as frequent organism isolated from cases of diabetic foot infections. Proper management of these infections requires appropriate antibiotic selection following antimicrobial susceptibility results.
