TAILIEUCHUNG - Assessment of marine litter based on tide along Juhu beach

In above perspective, present study aimed to quantify the different types of litter and Juhu beach, Mumbai. Marine litter especially plastic waste collected and assessed during the months of February 2018. Quantification was done on weight basis, total quantity and the quantities of segregated plastic were recorded by weighing the material. The results showed that a significant higher number and weight of marine litter was collected during ebb tide period in comparison to flood tide.
