In which, the Urban Railway would be a vital role for urban transportation in near future. With the design of three elevated, seven underground stations, deep excavation is an indispensible part of the construction in this project. In details, C10 (Tran Hung Dao) terminal is more complex than others due to its configuration. Although 35 m in length, m in diameter diaphragm wall and also H350-shaped steel support have been applied, the depth of excavation is up to 21 m, the stability of the foundation pit as well as the wall during excavation is a critical issue. To deal with excavation works design, this paper will present the calculation results of deep excavation at C10 terminal by using Geostructure analysis (Bentley) program. In particular, sheeting design tool is widely adopted for design and analysis of sheet piles and other retaining wall types. Modeling of layered-soil profile, staged-construction, it provides required pile embedment lengths (for fixed and hinged toes), bending moments, internal forces and wall displacement. In addition, due to the large depth of the foundation pit, slope stability analyses at the end of excavation works are also performed.
