Callicarpa macrophylla Vahl. (Tu Chau la to) is usually used in Vietnam traditional medicine for treating gastrointestinal bleeding, nosebleeds; in addition, it is also used for treating osteoarthritis pain. Their chemical structures were determined by spectroscopic methods including MS, 1D, 2D NMR and comparing with those reported in previous papers. Three compounds 4, 5, 6 were isolated for the first time from Callicarpa macrophylla plant. Keywords: Callicarpa macrophylla Vahl., sterol, triterpene and diterpene. 1. INTRODUCTION Tu chau la to or called as Tu hu la to or Bot ech la to has the scientific name as Callicarpa macrophylla Vahl. or Callicarpa cana L. belong to Verbenaceae family, it is distributed mainly in Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, India, China, Nepal, etc. [1, 2]. In Viet Nam, the plant grows wild in mountainous regions such as the northern provinces of Son La, Quang Ninh, Ha Tay, Ninh Binh, Nghe An [1, 2]. According to
