Use the Selection tool to draw a rectangle marquee that covers the upperright side of the object you just reshaped. When you release the mouse button the area you surrounded with the rectangle called a selection marquee displays a hatch pattern indicating that the area is now selected. Because you drew this object in standard mode you don t have to enter into the object to edit the components. A selection marquee can be used to isolate part of any shape. The hash pattern shows the parts that are currently selected. 1 3- Press the Delete Backspace key to remove the selected portion of the shape. The selected area is removed from the Stage. You can select any portion of an object in this manner and then change its stroke and fill values independently of the rest of the drawing or as is the case here remove it from the Stage completely. Pressing Delete Backspace removes the selected portion of the circle. 1 4. Use the same method to remove the bottom-right side of the shape. 1 5- Use the Selection tool to refine the shape so the curves fit the sketch. If you position the Selection tool at the very end of a stroke you can pull the end of the stroke to a new position the lines connected to the end point will reshape as necessary to match the new position of the end point. 1 6.
