The survey was undertaken to study the socio-economic conditions of the fringe villagers of KNP region in Assam. A total of 100 respondents were selected from different fringe villages of KNP areas on random basis. From the survey it was found that, about 58 per cent of the fringe respondents were of middle age group (31-47 years) and belonged to schedule tribe (32 per cent) caste. Majority (67 per cent) of the respondents was with nuclear family type and had a medium family size (5 numbers). | Socio-economic conditions of the fringe villagers of Kaziranga National Park KNP Assam India
