Rice is an important staple food for more than half of the world’s population and is subject to diseases that often place major biological constraints on production. Sheath blight of rice is caused by a soil borne fungus and biological control of the disease is an efficient substitute to replace chemical methods. In the present study thirty native fluorescent Pseudomonads, an efficient biocontrol agent have been isolated and confirmed by cultural, morphological, biochemical characterization and visualization under UV light. | Study the efficacy of Pseudomonas fluorescens against sheath blight in rice by Rhizoctonia solani
